The Company seeks capital growth over the longer term from investment in Continental Europe.

Investment policy

The managers will focus on stock selection, primarily investing in larger companies with strong balance sheets and above average growth prospects. Less emphasis will be given to adding value through country allocation, although the portfolio will maintain a broad geographical diversification. Up to 5% of gross assets may be invested in companies, which, although not listed in Continental Europe, derive the greater part of their earnings from its markets. Read in full >>

Quarterly fund update

We maintained our neutral position between cyclical and defensive stocks as uncertainty reigned over Greek sovereign debt woes and contagion effects during the first two months of the quarter. By March we took the decision to increase our cyclical stance as the contagion issue appeared muted. We have continued to look for opportunities to increase cyclical exposure, seeking to increase exposure to market-sensitive stocks where we have confidence in the underlying recovery prospects.
