Managed by Ben Wallace, winner of the EuroHedge 2008 award for best UK Long/Short Equity Fund, and Luke Newman. The Fund aims to achieve a positive absolute return over the long term regardless of market conditions, although this is not guaranteed.

The Fund is managed with a tried and tested investment process and takes a core/tactical approach to portfolio construction, generating value from both long and short term positions.

Fund managers

 Ben joined Gartmore in November 2002 as a Senior Investment Manager. Prior to joining Gartmore, Ben worked at Deutsche Asset Management as a UK Equity Fund Manager.
Luke joined Gartmore in June 2009 as a Senior Investment Manager from Altima Partners LLP. Previously Luke was also a UK Fund Manager at Deutsche Asset Management running high performance mandates before moving to Foreign & Colonial in 2005.
